Current Projects

Listed below are the major projects that the Planning Department and Town staff are involved in at this point in time.

US 401 Bypass

The Town of Rolesville experiences around 20,000 vehicles a day come through via US Highway 401. A large number of the commuters live in surronding area and use US 401 commuting to work in Raleigh. This traffic has created concerns and the North Carolina Department of Transportation is stepping up to the plate to address the problem by designing a bypss road around the southern part of Town. The Department of Transportation is in the process of purchasing right-of-way (i.e. the path for the road) and construction is scheduled to start in 2008.
