TRASH & GARBAGE

The Town of Rolesville also offers on-line bill payment. To pay your bill online, have your account number and credit card ready and click on the icon below.

Trash in collected curbside in Rolesville on Thursdays and Fridays depending upon your location. Trash and recyling will both be picked up on the same assigned day. To find out your exact pick up date, please call Town Hall at (919) 556-3506.

Please place your container within ten (10) feet of the curb or edge of your street the night before your scheduled day of service. The trucks start their collections at different times depending on the area in town that that they are working. Please bag your household trash. This will help keep down the smell in your container and the possibility of loose trash blowing out of the trucks while in the process of dumping the containers. Each resident is issued a 96 gallon rollout cart which is normally large enough to hold the trash that is produced by an average sized family. An extra bag or two, occasionally, is permissible. Should there be an abnormally large amount of trash at the street, Waste Industries will either not collect it or you will be charged and extra fee to have it collected. If it becomes commonplace for this to happen, you will be asked to increase your level of service (number of carts) that will hold the volume of trash you are producing. The extra cart fee it $8.70 per container per month.

The ONLY holidays that will affect your pick up schedule are July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day. Waste Industries will run a day behind on the holiday they are closed on and the remainder of that week. All other holidays will be treated as a normal workday for Waste Industries crews and your trash should be collected on your scheduled day. If you have any questions, please call 662-7100.

What is accepted?
Household waste that is in the 96-gallon cart provided to you, 4-5 Cardboard boxes, broken down and placed next to your container.

What is NOT accepted?
Car tires, car batteries, construction debris, yard waste (grass, leaves, tree branches, mulch, dirt, etc.), flammable liquids, liquid paint, antifreeze, motor oil, cooking oils, other oils of any kind, or any material classified as hazardous waste.

CURBSIDE YARD WASTE PICKUP
The Town of Rolesville contracts out the curbside collection of all the residential yard waste. This yard waste would include limbs, leaves, etc. There are certain guidelines and restrictions for this pick up that need to be followed. MISCELLANEOUS TRASH
Wake County has several locations where miscellaneous trash is accepted. Whether it be tires, carpet, scrap metal, or even cooking oil; there is a place for it to be disposed of. Simply click here to visit the Wake County "Trash Takers Webiste" and select the material you want to dispose. Wake County will give you the location of where you can drop the item off.
